What Read Frog adds

From reading to remembering

Immersive Translate is done once the page is translated. Read Frog keeps going:

Select a word or sentence on a page or in a video's subtitles and run an AI Action to look it up or break down a long sentence.
Save the result to Notebase in one click, together with the sentence it came from.
Add a card template to the notebase and your notes become flashcards; FSRS schedules each review by how well you remember the card.

Switching from Immersive Translate

Install Read Frog

Follow the installation guide. With both extensions on, a paragraph can get translated twice, so turn on page translation in only one of them.

Bring your model

Add the model you already use, such as OpenAI, DeepSeek, Gemini or Ollama, as described in Set Up Providers and API Keys, or start with the free Google or Microsoft translator.
